Validation of information-seeking behaviour of nursing students confirms most profiles but also indicates desirable changes for information literacy support

Purpose The study aims were: (1) to replicate a previous by the first author confirm findings (internal validity) and check construct validity of previously proposed information-behaviour profiles, (2) compare information processes used students in parallel with requirements early professional practice. Design/methodology/approach A replication same questionnaire, delivered online all 175 across three years BSc adult nursing degree programme on one UK university campus. survey included questions seeking processes, personality, approaches learning self-efficacy literacy. literature review examined evidence around transition from student practitioner Association for College Research Libraries (ACRL) standards Findings response rate was 86/175 (49%). result verified most frequent association between approach literacy self-efficacy. personality differed.
